Pakistan delegation visits APFNet Secretariat
The Pakistan delegation convening with the APFNet Secretariat
A delegation from Pakistan led by Mr Hammad Shamimi, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Climate Change of Pakistan (MoCC) visited APFNet Secretariat on 25 March 2019.
Dr Lu De, the Executive Director of APFNet, welcomed the delegation and gave a brief introduction on APFNet’s establishment and mission and highlighted some ongoing activities. He noted the importance of this meeting to discuss ways for consolidating future cooperation between APFNet and Pakistan. Mr Shamimi appreciated APFNet’s achievement in promoting sustainable forest management in the Asia-Pacific region and showed strong willingness to learn from successful experiences and become involved in APFNet’s activities by initially starting as an APFNet observer.
