Jointly Initiated and organized by APFNet and Southwest Forestry University, the Presidents’ Forum of Forestry Universities and Institutes in the Greater Mekong Subregion ( the Presidents’ Forum) is a platform that further contributes to sustainable forest management and forestry development by enhancing regional cooperation in forestry higher education and talent development.
Objectives

To build and maintain a cooperation and exchange platform for forestry higher education

To explore a cooperation and training mechanism for senior forestry talents

To promote in-depth cooperation and exchanges in forestry science and technology

Members
The Presidents' Forum is open to forestry universities, institutes, and partners, adhering to the principles of Openness and Cooperation, Mutual Benefit, and Co-Development. It now has 16 members.
Assembly
Members convene every two years for assembly meetings .

Steering Committee and liaison office
The Steering Committee is the decision-making body of the Presidents' Forum, consisting of following 7 member affiliations. Steering Committee members meet annually.

Southwest Forestry University currently hosts the Forum's liaison office, which coordinates daily operational work and event/activity organization .
