Most of the APFNet-supported projects, through the project call and appraisal channel, are field ones that pilot and demonstrate best practices for sustainable forest management and rehabilitation, help member economies enhance their forest management capacities and improve local livelihoods in the Asia-Pacific region. Financial support would also go to a number of capacity building and research projects. In wide partnerships with governments, organizations, communities, and the private sector, APFNet has invested about US$ 43million in 54 projects in 22 regional economies.
APFNet also acts as a partner to conceptualize, develop and coordinate and monitor the implementation of projects for donor organizations, with expertise, and network of resources.11
