College Student Green Plan Contest Winners Announced

Beijing, China, November 10, 2011  APFNet announces the winners of its College Students Green Plan Contest at the First College Students’ Green Forum, which was held as a partner event during the Second Asia-Pacific Forestry Week. The winner plans were selected from nearly 150 submissions by college and university students in China.

 With the theme of "Green Ideas", the Green Forum aimed to foster innovative forest students and promote creative thinking on green solutions to challenges faced today in forest protection and management. The announcement of the winners wraps up the Green Idea campaign, which started in September this year,


The top winners will receive certificates and prizes to support their future project development.

"This contest provides a unique way for our team to become a part of a green campaign. I would like to thank my team members for their great ideas, which made our project more operational," said Su Judong, the SIFE team leader.

"As sustainability is becoming more important to our planet today, we want to draw the students' attention and efforts to green development and also provide an opportunity to stimulate their creativity by competing," said Mr. Lu De, APFNet’s deputy Executive Director.
