APFNet Scholarship Program 2010 successfully kicked off

Launched in March 2010, APFNet Scholarship Program has successfully completed its funding to 8 scholarship students for academic year 2010 and a welcome party was held on September 10, 2010 in Beijing. 

At the reception, Mr Qu Guilin, General Director of APFNet Secretariat warmly welcomed all the students coming to Beijing Forestry University (BFU) for the 2-year master’s program and wished a great progress to be achieved to build on their future careers. Mr. Luo Youqing, vice president of BFU stressed the importance of APFNet Scholarship Program in support of higher education to enhance regional forestry and promised that BFU, as the first host university of the Program, would make great efforts to ensure the success of the Program. 

The scholarship awardees, all with forestry background, are from Thailand, Cambodia, Lao, Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea. They expressed thanks for sponsoring the BFU study opportunities and the chance to the Chinese culture.

 

According to the Program curriculum, the course session will commence soon.
