APFNet scholarship welcome meeting held in Beijing

APFNet Scholarship Program of 2013 officially launched this March, open to developing economies in Asia-Pacific region. Six students from Nepal, Lao PDR, Papua New Guinea, Myanmar, and Mexico are admitted to the Program this year. To help the students prepare for the start of a new school year, a welcome meeting was held on September 29, 2013 in APFNet Secretariat, Beijing.

During the meeting, Mr Qu Guilin, General Director of APFNet Secretariat, extends his welcome to all students, and foster a joy of learning throughout two-year study in Beijing Forestry University.

APFNet scholarship program was initiated in 2010, aiming to provide an opportunity for government officials, talented foresters and young scholars from developing economies in the Asia-Pacific region to pursue postgraduate studies in forestry field.
