Mr Qu and Mr Ze Meka reviewed recent cooperation between APFNet and ITTO under their Memorandum of Understanding since 2011. Mr Ze Meka expressed his gratitude for APFNet’s support on co-organizing and co-sponsoring events, such as the National Workshop on Forest Products Statistics in China in April 2013, this Regional Workshop on Forest Products Statistics in September 2014, and the International Forum on Payments for Environmental Services of Tropical Forests on 7-10 April 2014 in Costa Rica. And Mr Qu reviewed the close cooperation between each other and thanked ITTO for its support on APFNet’s development, such as APFNet’s Interim Steering Committee and annual meeting of APFNet focal points, including the most recent one in May. The APFNet-ITTO-Sarawak project, of which ITTO act as the supervisory agency, will be launched soon as another cooperation between the two organizations.

The two sides explored cooperation in the near future, and agreed that it would be an added value to co-organize side events or jointly set up an exhibition booth at the occasion of international conferences.
