Capacity Building

One main driver that hinders the sustainable management of forest in the Asia Pacific is the shortage of capacity needed for forest management in certain regions. APFNet aims at building and strengthening capacity in different forms, including providing scholarship to encourage foresters, forestry officials in particular, to study in China, and conducting thematic training activities as well as other symposiums and training workshops. Through its capacity building program, the APFNet carries out more cooperation with other organizations and research institutions, so that an effective exchange of advanced information and practical experiences can be conducted to improve forest management and benefit local people in the region.
